I had the fried fish and a sweet potatoes with applesauce. My sister had baked fish. The fish was fantastic. Her sweet potatoes was spot on. Mine was a little under done. We loved the atmosphere. The old time diner feel. Felt like you stepped back into the 80s in the middle of nowhere reateraunt. I loved it. It felt warm and comfortable. The kind of place that has existed forever and will keep existing. We will go back for sure.
We were traveling all day and found this place to stop to eat. I definitely would Rate them as fast food in more ways then one. We got there and no one else was there. So we did get our food pretty quick, but it was also bland, not what we were used to for the price that we paid here.
We come to the area (Thompsontown) twice a year from gettysburg to a cabin in the area. Branched out and found Juniata Junction. Very happy we did! Service was great and friendly. Food was made with care and tasted great. So great we decided to come back the next day for breakfast. We think we finally found our "go to" place for the area when we come to the cabin. Will be back and bring the rest of the family with us.
